Why talk to me
I have supervised postgraduate dissertations and honours projects, mentored tutorial staff, sat on a Board of Studies designing syllabi from undergraduate through PhD, and served as an external examiner. I have also read a great many statements of purpose, and I know the predictable reasons they fail.
At Chitkara I mentored students on academic and career goals and worked with their parents on retention and progression — which taught me that most students are not short of ability but short of a clear picture of their options. That is usually what these sessions are for.

01Is there a fee?
Not at present. Sessions are offered free of charge. If that changes, it will be stated clearly on this page before you book — never after.
02Who is this for?
Mostly students of English literature, communication, and the humanities — but the career and application sessions are useful to anyone applying to postgraduate study in the arts or social sciences.
03What happens after I book?
You receive a confirmation email with a calendar invitation and a video call link. For research and application sessions, you will also get a short form asking for the work you would like me to read.
04Can we speak in Hindi?
Yes. Sessions can be conducted in Hindi, English, or a mix of both — whichever lets you think most clearly.
05What if I need to reschedule?
Use the link in your confirmation email, or message on WhatsApp. Please give at least 24 hours where you can, so the slot can go to someone else.
06Do you supervise dissertations formally?
Formal supervision runs through my university. These sessions are advisory — they sit alongside your own supervisor rather than replacing them.
